NDIS Pathway

Eligibility

At the earliest point in your planning, you need to find out if you are eligible to access the NDIS
Individuals who are eligibile for the NDIS receive funding on an annual basis to purchase the supports they require. Supports may help individuals achieve goals in many aspects of their life, including in depth community, education, employment and health and well-being.

To understand if you are eligible, please read our
Eligibility page

The first step

Your first step once you access the NDIS is to create your first plan. Your first plan is the start of a lifelong relationship with the NDIS. It will include details about your personal goals and needs, details about the supports you will be funded for, and how much funding you will receive for these supports. Your first plan will give you time to think about what you might need to help you achieve your goals before you do your next plan.
Your first plan will be in place for 12 months. This will give you time to think about how those supports are working for you. Once your plan is approved, it is time to put it into action. The NDIS can work with you to help you start your plan.
