Project Co-ordinator

About the Opportunity

The Project Co-ordinator role is an exciting opportunity to work with researchers, community organisations and people with disability on funded projects that aim to build new models and systems that enable inclusion and equity for people with intellectual disability.

 

The Project Co-ordinator will work as part of a small team of experienced professionals working across policy, advocacy, quality management, publications, research and practice, with particular focus on capacity building projects in the areas of employment, social inclusion, practice leadership, and a range of other domains.

 

The Project Co-ordinator will engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders and contribute to the production of reports and resources in accordance with organisational and project requirements.

What we are looking for

  • A genuine interest in, and commitment to Inclusion Melbourne’s vision, mission and values of integrity, potential, individuality and relationships and the organisations strategic directions;
  • An appropriate tertiary qualification with relevant experience; or other formal qualifications and experience in project management, communications, community engagement, project coordination, or similar.
  • Moderate to well-developed level of subject matter expertise in one or more of: disability support service delivery, interdisciplinary allied health processes, NDIS policy or systems, disability employment models, intellectual disability research or advocacy, or related areas.
  • Well-developed liaison, negotiation and collaborative work skills, including the ability to work and consult effectively with diverse community groups, peak bodies, community organisations and business and government stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Demonstrated work skills and experience in utilising project management processes to ensure objectives, timelines and budget requirements are met in project implementation;
  • Well-developed research and problem-solving skills;
  • Sound written and oral communication skills, including the ability to author, prepare and present complex content and documents
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check;
  • Compliance with Victorian government Vaccination Mandate;

Working Arrangements

  • 15.2 hours per week, position based in Armadale, Victoria.
  • Flexible working arrangements, including the opportunity to work half days or to work remotely up to 2 days per fortnight upon agreement with the Head of Policy, Research and Advocacy.
