archana kadam, team leader at inclusion training says

We help build pathways for students to access community opportunities.  We believe that standing together we can create better lives for people with intellectual disabilities who become valued members of their community. Inclusion Training values uniqueness and celebrates differences of our students. We take a person-centred approach that uncovers our student’s talents and strengths.

Along with our courses, we also offer Life Skills program to our students.

This includes learning activities such as travel training, cooking, arts and crafts, music, excursions, community events and fitness programs to help students learn to work in teams, respect others, practice gratitude, and develop a sense of contributing for the benefit of others.

We encourage students to actively participate in community events to build their confidence and feel valued members of the community. Students become aware of what is happening around them and what others are experiencing during sessions”

Inclusion Training has worked hard to assist students to feel safe and secure during COVID restrictions, using online platforms to assist students to continue to work toward their goals. The training team has supported the students to learn and use new technology tools which has opened opportunities and enriched their experiences.
